Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

If you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your email address
• Your name
• Your Google profile picture
• A unique Google account identifier

We also store your watchlist, alerts, and dashboard settings (timezone, theme, refresh cadence) tied to your account.

2. Third-party services (with your consent)

If you accept cookies, we may use:

• Google Analytics 4 — page views, country, device type (IP anonymized)
• Google AdSense — contextual ads, no personal data shared
• Affiliate links — clicks on sponsor cards record sponsor ID, country, hashed IP, and timestamp; never your name or email

You can decline all of the above on first visit, or clear consent via your browser's site data settings to be re-prompted. Essential authentication still works either way.

3. What we do not collect

• No payment data — the service is free
• No tracking across other websites
• No raw IP addresses stored (sponsor clicks store a one-way hash only)
• No location data beyond your browser timezone and Cloudflare country code

4. Sponsored links

MarketScore earns commission when you click a sponsor card and sign up with a broker or exchange. This does not affect what we show — sentiment scores and news are not influenced by sponsor relationships. Sponsor placements are clearly labeled "Sponsored" and use rel="sponsored" per Google guidelines.

5. How we use it

Your account info identifies you and personalizes your watchlist and alerts. Analytics data improves the product. We do not sell user data.

6. Where data lives

User data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Supabase is the data processor; MarketScore is the data controller.

7. Cookies

Essential cookies for authentication are always set. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept the consent prompt.

8. Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from settings, which removes all your personal data within 30 days. EU users have additional rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability) — contact us to exercise them.

9. Public news data

News headlines shown on MarketScore are public RSS feeds from third-party publishers. MarketScore does not own this content and links to original sources for full reading.

10. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be highlighted on the dashboard before taking effect.
